![]() ![]() John is preceded in death by a granddaughter three brothers and two sisters. He never hesitated to share produce from his garden, where he spent many hours, never giving up easily on even the weakest garden vegetable. He loved hunting on the family farm, and often invited others to join him. He loved to help others in any way, whether helping a son build a workbench, a landscape retaining wall or a neighbor with a project. He and Eileen began attending Blue River Bible Church near Belton in 1997, where he was dedicated to serving the Lord Jesus Christ in many ways, including serving as elder up to the time of his home going to glory. One of John’s favorite Bible verses was Isaiah 26:3 “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.” He pastored Herndon Bible Church in Herndon, Missouri for thirteen years, making the long drive with the family every weekend. He and Mom took the family on many vacations, which often included fishing at Grandpa Moushon’s cabin or visiting relatives in Arizona. Sometimes, the boys would hear him stirring and get up to have a simple breakfast with him, then go back to sleep. Dad worked the early shift at the Post Office, requiring him to wake up around 3:00am. After college he worked at the US Post Office full time when no Christian ministry positions presented themselves. As a father, John understood and fulfilled the biblical requirement to provide for his family and did so faithfully. The couple’s first date was at KC Youth for Christ, and they were united on Jin a marriage lasting 60 years until his death. At college he met and quickly grew to love Eileen Mae Moushon. After his move to Kansas City, he also began to work at the US Post Office, from where he eventually retired. ![]() Following his military experience and desiring to grow in his spiritual walk, he moved to Kansas City and attended Calvary Bible College, formerly Kansas City Bible College, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Education & Bible. During this time, he trusted Jesus Christ for salvation, beginning a new area of faithful service. He served in the Air Force, in Japan around the end of the Korean War, earning the rank of Staff Sargent. Following in his older brother’s footsteps, John served his country for four years. If required to summarize his life in one word it would be Faithfulness. He died Saturday, Octoat his home in Kansas City, living 87 years senen months and five days. ![]() John Jerry Hull was born Mato Melvin Adam "Ad" and Dorothy Helen Hull, and grew up on their family’s farm near Clinton, Missouri. ![]()
